Dougie McQuillan (Vocals / Guitar / Harmonica & Keyboards): has been a front man and singer in bands since his early teens playing a variety of music from folk, rock, pop, soul and even punk.
His voice has featured in several TV and Radio commercials including talk-over and narration. Supported acts such as the Proclaimers, Steve Harley, Richard Thomson, Katrina & the Waves, Tanita Tikaram and Paul Brady among others. Highlighted on the solo stage at the Cambridge Folk Festival after a glowing review in N.M.E. Toured extensively around Europe and the USA as well as the UK. Former member of "Fever", "Under the Covers", "the Gobs","the Cheetas", “the Spanners", "The Fabs", "Cranachan", "Touching Cloth" & Scottish folk/rock band AVALON. Made the final of the "YAMAHA" song-writing competition with "Things American".
His solo single, the rocking “Modern World” was a favourite with radio stations being compared with the stadium rock sound of Simple Minds and Runrig. Formed the band ’Cranachan’. then went on tour with "Summer Holiday". August 97, was asked to demo songs as replacement singer for Runrig,“ His album FULL METAL ANORAK was nominated in the NME folk album of the year category and the track “West Highland Girl”, was used by The Scottish Tourist Board during their 2001 advertising campaign. The last few years have seen him working with Bee Gee, ABBA & Queen tribute bands. Currently gigging solo on the pub/club circuit.
